Who are we?
We are Elaine and Ian Hill from Okotoks, Alberta Canada. That's about
15 minutes south of Calgary Alberta. We were married on April 11, 1998 at the Darcy Ranch Golf Club.
Elaine retired from being a school secretary in year 2001 and is loving her new busy life without the pressures associated witth a day to day job. She is the founding member of her "RED HAT" chapter "The Sophista-Kats" and is also the founder and webmistress of the Alberta Provincial web site for Red Hatters. Her other hobbies also consist of a large variety of crafts and beating me in one of the many games like backgammon and sequence we play frequently.
Ian has been working on the railroad in Calgary, Alberta and at the same facility, the Ogden Shops for 37 years. I took early retirement in Feb. 2009. Ian manages a few websites, mostly associated with country music and likes anything to do with electronics.
Both Elaine and Ian love attending the local sports as in the AAA junior hockey team the Okotoks Oilers and the intercollegiate baseball team the Okotoks Dawgs. In between sporting events, they attend numerous concerts and are always planning an upcoming cruise.
We have a large family as Elaine has 3 girls who gave her 8 grandkids Brittney, Terilynn, Jolene, Riley, Clayton, Noel, Danielle, and Shelaine and 2 great grandsons Carter and Jaxson.,
. Ian has 2 kids who gave
him 4 grandkids, Samantha, Selena, Nathaniel and Breanna 2002-2005. Read about Breanna's premature passing here.
We love to travel. We have been to Mexico, Nashville, Hawaii, and have been on 8 cruises. We are hooked on cruising and find the holiday lifestyle of being on a cruise ship to our liking. See some of our holiday pictures here..
